Hi, we are the Solsma's. We grow corn and soybeans and raise cattle in Northwest Iowa. Jay started his cattle herd in 1985, buying some Angus cows from his grandfather. We have been using AI since 1974. We raised club calves for many years but lost our pasture and had to disperse the black cattle. Now our cow herd consists of Polled and Horned Herefords, most of which are ET or AI cattle.
We also have Solsma's Punkin Patch which we started for the kids in 1999. Have to find some way to help pay for college! It has really grown in the last 10 years. Check out the pumpkin page for more information.
Blake and Claire are now in 4-H and are able to show our cattle. They really enjoy it and we like being able to travel to cattle shows all over the US.
